Rilidigital – Friend Rili, know the term campaign calm period. The calm period of the campaign is a period of time that occurred before the voting in an election, where campaign activities were openly banned.
At this time, prospective election participants and related parties were no longer permitted to carry out activities related to the campaign. Such as distributing campaign material, holding general meetings, or doing other promotions to influence voters.
The calm period aims to provide opportunities for voters to reflect and make decisions objectively without any direct pressure or influence from campaign activities. This period is also intended to create a peaceful and conducive atmosphere before the voting day.
In Indonesia, the quiet period usually lasts for 2 or 3 days before the election is held. During this period, strict rules are applied, and violations of this prohibition can be charged legal sanctions.
