Gamers in Indonesia complain about the age label of Indonesian Game Rating System (IGRS) which had appeared on digital game distribution platforms Steamsuddenly disappeared just two days after application. This incident sparked a strong reaction from the gamer community in Indonesia and became a lively topic of conversation on social media platforms.
On April 4, 2026IGRS rating labels are starting to appear on the Steam store page for Indonesia. Its appearance was greeted enthusiastically by some parties who support local regulations. However, the joy did not last long. Entering April 6, 2026all IGRS labels that previously appeared on Steam suddenly disappeared. The displayed rating returns to standard PEGI (Pan European Game Information), a European rating system that is currently used globally. This is confirmed by Kris Antonifounder of a local game publisher Toge Productionwhich stated that Steam had rolled back all IGRS ratings from its platform.
Not only did it just disappear before it was removed, the IGRS label on Steam sparked a wave of criticism because the inconsistency is quite surprising. The Indonesian gamer community found many oddities in the classification system displayed. Upin & Ipin’s Universea family-friendly children’s themed game, even got a rating 18+. PUBGbattle royale games full of violent action, actually got the label 3+ which should be safe for toddlers. Many other games display age labels that in no way reflect the content within them
This chaos occurs because the mechanism used by Steam is still in nature declare yourself or self-assessment This means that the rating is given automatically based on the platform’s internal survey without going through an official verification process from IGRS or the government. Similar to the IARC (International Age Rating Coalition) system which also relies on automatic bots without manual supervision from supervisors.
Responding to this polemic, Ministry of Communications and Digital (Komdigi) move fast. Komdigi Digital Ecosystem Development Director, Sonny Hendra Sudaryanaemphasized that the IGRS label that appears on Steam is not an official classification that has been verified by the government.
Komdigi immediately called Steam to ask official clarification. If proven to have violated the provisions, Steam is threatened with administrative sanctions based on Law no. 1/2024 concerning child protection in electronic systems and Minister of Communication and Information Regulation no. 5/2020 concerning Private Scope PSE. Steam itself has sent an apology to Komdigi and admitted that the IGRS rating that appears on its platform does not yet have legal status. What do you think, guys?

By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
